One love, one heart, one destiny

I am convinced that Bob Marley received Prophetic revelations from God for his songs. The following is an excerpt from one of his songs:

One love, one heart
Let’s get together and feel all right
As it was in the beginning (One love)
So shall it be in the end (One heart)
Alright, “Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right.”
“Let’s get together and feel all right.”
One more thing

Let’s get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (One love)
So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (One song)
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
There ain’t no hiding place from the Father of Creation”

The love of God is so vast and unsearched out. God’s love is supernatural and cannot be explained any other way. If we as humans take it upon ourselves to search out the love of God, I am convinced that having a real encounter with the love of God will transform our hearts, our love and propel us into our destiny.

As we take a look at society today,  we are living in the hour more than ever where the prophecy is being fulfilled that “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.”(Matthew 24:12)

Perfect love casts out all fear. In 1 John 4:8 (ESV), it states that “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

We have to be perfected in love. God wants us to be pure. Not a love where we are envious, jealous, criticize others, where we have and embrace judgmentalism, tainted by cynicism. Love happens in the heart. Some people find it easier to hate than to love. I see this in the case of a ex-boyfriend. He expressed so much hatred to me even though it has been years he has moved on and I have moved on. I forgive him and have no bitterness against him but he constantly wish me evil, he is annoyed to see me happy. He speaks negatively about me to my son and it is obvious that he is insecure and has heart issues that he need to take to the Lord to ask him to heal. The point I am making is the world can sense when you have bitterness in the heart.

We have to become a channel of God’s love to others. My son knows that he can come to me at any time because God’s love is flowing from my heart for people, even when they don’t deserve it, but who am I to decide who deserves the love of God? In fact Jesus says in Luke 6:27: “But I tell you who hear me: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you”, … verse 32: if you do love those who love you, what credit is that to you? even sinners love those who love them.

I do not write this in this blog to brag, I am being tested as I am writing this to learn to love my enemies, “do good to them and lend to them without expecting to get anything back”. Jesus continued in verse 35:Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the most High, because you are kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” Wow! this is a tall order in this fallen world you may say, but if you believe what Jesus says and He gives me this on numerous occasion, then it simply means he can and wants to give me the grace to love beyond words or lip service but to love from the heart. If I can borrow Apostle Paul’s statement in Philippians 3:12 (NIV), “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of which Christ took hold of me” (another translation says: press towards the mark of the higher calling in Christ Jesus).

I am led to ask this question: why not love our brothers and sisters now? I implore you, let us put aside indifference and release people who have hurt you from your heart, forgive and move on. Since God forgave you all your trespasses, and cast your sins into the sea of forgetfulness, why not free yourself, o captive people, release  people from the cage and nooses that you have them tied up because you were hurt or bitter, jealous or mad at them and you cant stand to see them live much more to succeed and become great. May I remind you that God is Sovereign and he is bigger and greater than any fetish power or jezebel control or witchcraft manipulation that you try to do to think that you can keep back someone. Let us have one heart for each other, one love, that is purified by the blood of Jesus that washes and purifies conscience. There are things deeply embedded in our hearts that must be confronted and addressed for a love that is free from contamination.

Upon searching out “one destiny” from a Biblical perspective, I find it interesting that the wisest man who ever lived Solomon says that there is a common destiny for all. In Ecclesiastes 9:1-3:

So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God’s hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them. All share a common destiny—the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad,[a] the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of people, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead”.

As humans, we easily forget what God has done for us  complete assurance that God will bring us out of the present things we face based on his track record that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. God designed that our prophetic destiny is to rule and reign with Him as Kings and Priests of the Most High God. The Bible says we shall rule and reign and even judge angels. This requires us to put on the divine nature of God.

In 1 Corinthian 13:8, the apostle Paul wrote: “Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.” He was emphasizing that love is greater than gift or ability. Many people hate others for gifts that God has given to others when their own gifts are undiscovered. God has given gifts to all men. Christians should reflect God’s nature, naturally with an internal motivation of concern for others, as opposed to the selfish nature of human beings.

Prophecies will cease, these three things remain: faith, hope and love, but the greatest of all three is love. This is a pattern that we see in scripture showing the trinity. Thus, we can conclude that one heart, one love, gives us all a common destiny.
